9. Customs, Duties and Import Charges
Orders delivered outside the United Kingdom may be subject to:
- Customs duties
- Import VAT
- Local sales taxes
- Tariffs
- Clearance charges
- Postal handling fees
These charges are normally the responsibility of the customer unless stated otherwise during checkout.
Customs requirements vary by country and are outside our control.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that products may legally be imported into their country. Please see the specific notes below for the following:
Europe
Following changes introduced to trading arrangements between the United Kingdom and European Union member states from 1 July 2026, additional customs information is now required when sending orders to many EU destinations.
Because customs procedures can vary significantly between EU countries, Aerocraft Models follows the latest guidance available through Royal Mail and UK export regulations when preparing international shipments.
In some cases, Aerocraft Models is required to pay a £1.00 administration fee when sending parcels to certain EU destinations. This cost is included as part of our shipping process.
Customers remain responsible for any import VAT, customs duties, tariffs, clearance charges or handling fees that may be applied by their country's customs authority or delivery provider before the parcel can be delivered.
Where additional information is required for your shipment, or if there are any unusual requirements affecting your destination country, we will contact you before dispatch whenever possible.
Germany
Due to current import requirements for parcels entering Germany, Aerocraft Models is required to pay all applicable taxes, duties and customs charges before an order can be dispatched.
As these charges are calculated by the postal and customs systems at the time of shipment, they cannot currently be calculated automatically through our website.
Once your order has been placed, we will process the shipment through the Royal Mail postal service to determine any applicable charges. We will then contact you with a full breakdown of the costs and send a separate PayPal invoice for the amount due.
If you decide not to proceed once these charges have been confirmed, your order will be cancelled and any payment already made will be refunded in full.
While this process requires an additional step before dispatch, it helps ensure that your order can be delivered directly to you with fewer delays and without unexpected customs charges being requested upon delivery.
U.S.A.
If you're ordering from the United States, the website is set up to automatically calculate and collect any applicable tariffs during checkout, so you'll see these charges before completing your order.
10. Lost, Delayed or Damaged Deliveries
We understand how frustrating delivery problems can be and will always do our best to help.
Delivery delays can occur due to:
- Customs inspections
- Postal congestion
- Transport issues
- Severe weather
- Industrial action
- Local delivery issues
If your parcel appears lost, please contact us and we will investigate with the carrier.
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and include photographs of:
- The packaging
- The shipping label
- The damaged items
We will work with you to find the most appropriate solution.

- Return the goods within a further 14 days.
Returned products should be:
- Unused
- In saleable condition

Unless the goods are faulty or supplied in error, return postage costs are the customer's responsibility.
We recommend using a tracked service for all returns. Refunds will be processed using the original payment method.

We are pleased to supply customers worldwide.
For international orders:
- Import rules may vary between countries.
- Customs processing times are beyond our control.
- Local charges may apply.
- Customers remain responsible for complying with local import regulations.
